Jesse Aston is a seasoned professional in live sound and music production, with over a decade of expertise in delivering high-quality sound experiences for musicians and audiences alike. Before transitioning into live sound, Jesse spent 10 years working in AV in the Government Sector, honing his technical skills and gaining a deep understanding of troubleshooting and installation. This foundation has allowed him to master the art of seamless live sound, ensuring every performance is flawless from start to finish.

Jesse’s diverse portfolio spans from Choral Directing and Performance to serving as Stage Manager and Monitor Engineer for iconic bands like The Fixx. He has also worked as the FOH Engineer at renowned venues such as The Siren in Morro Bay and The Clark Center. His hands-on experience, combined with his technical expertise, makes him a trusted partner for artists and tour managers alike, handling everything from system tech support to live mixing and audio design.

Monitor engineer / Stage manager

The Fixx, 2018-2022

As stage man`ager for The Fixx since their 35th Anniversary "Reach The Beach" Tour, Jesse Aston managed artists' performance equipment, working directly with venue personnel in nearly every major city, nationwide and in Canada, including a top secret private show with The Killers. 

Performed soundcheck, monitor engineering, and keyboard tech duties.

FOH Engineer

The Siren, Morro Bay, 2017 - present

As A1 and System Tech at The Siren, Jesse Aston has worked directly with hundreds of local and national touring acts. Duties performed have included system tech support when band has FOH, FOH engineer, Monitor engineer, communicating with bands and tour managers for technical requirements.

Theatre Work

At The Clark Center for the Performing Arts, he specializes in Broadway-style, line-by-line mixing for musicals, ensuring every vocal cue and musical moment is perfectly balanced. His work with cutting-edge technologies such as Yamaha CL5, Dante, and Q-Sys systems guarantees a superior sound experience for every production. Beyond technical skills, Jesse takes pride in mentoring interns and fostering an inclusive, collaborative environment for both artists and crew.

As an Audio Technician at Cuesta College's Performing Arts Center, Jesse manages all aspects of live event production, from stage setup to live video directing, working with choral, classical and dance, among other styles of performance..
